Laser engraved
Softdrink Glass
Step by step guide
Add value to inexpensive drinking glasses with decorations, names or designs. We have used the rotary attachment to add style to a 10 ¼ oz drinking glass (31 cl).
Preparation
Required material
- 10 ¼ oz glass (31 cl)
- Paper towel
- Water
- Sponge
Trotec laser used
- Speedy 300
- 30 watts
- 2 inch lens
Step by step
Step 1: Preparation
First, take a slightly moist paper towel. Preferably, use a sponge or a spray bottle for moistening. Place the paper towel on the surface that you wish to engrave later. This will prevent the glass from splintering during the engraving process.
Step 2: Rotary Attachtment
Place the rotary engraving attachment in the laser and attach it. Next, switch the laser on. You can now clamp the glass into the rotary attachment and focus onto its surface. If you use a conical glass, tilt the rotary attachment until the engraving surface is positioned parallel to the work table.
Step 3: Used Laser Settings
Open the "BBQ Glass" file and send it to the laser. Make sure that the rotary attachment is enabled in the driver and that you have entered the correct diameter of the glass. You can now start the engraving process.
