Step by step
Step 1: Base Plate
Begin with importing our template and adapting it so it meets your requirements. Send the base plate's job (bright white TroLase) to the laser machine using the following driver settings:
Process Mode | Resolution | Cut Line |
---|---|---|
Standard | 500dpi | None |
Halftone | Others |
---|---|
Colour | Optimised Geometries, Inner Geometries First |
Step 2: Laser Process - Base Plate
Please note that the laser parameters can vary depending on what type of machine you are using and its available laser power
Colour | Process | Power (%) | Speed (%) | ppi/Hz |
---|---|---|---|---|
Red | Cut CO2 | 24 | 0.8 | 1,000 |
Passes | Air Assist | Z-Offset | Direction | Advanced |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | On | - | - | - |
Step 3: Stripes Pattern
Now it's time to send the stripes pattern and letters to the machine. Use the following driver settings to complete this job:
Process Mode | Resolution | Cut Line |
---|---|---|
Standard | 500dpi | None |
Halftone | Others |
---|---|
Colour | Optimised Geometries, Inner Geometries First |
Step 4: Laser Process - Stripes Pattern
Please note that the laser parameters can vary depending on what type of machine you are using and its available laser power
Colour | Process | Power (%) | Speed (%) | ppi/Hz |
---|---|---|---|---|
Red | Cut CO2 | 38 | 0.8 | 1,000 |

Step 5: Coloured Layers
Send the coloured layered job (consisting of TroGlass Satins and Colour Gloss) to the laser machine using the following driver settings.
Prior to cutting the TroGlass, remember to apply adhesive to the back. You need to keep a minimum of 4cm clear from the top of the sheet - this space will be needed for the levitating part and the triangles.
Process Mode | Resolution | Cut Line |
---|---|---|
Standard | 500dpi | None |
Halftone | Others |
---|---|
Colour | Optimised Geometries, Inner Geometries First |
Step 6: Laser Process - Coloured Layers
Tip: Remember to remove the top protective foil from the TroGlass prior to cutting.
Please note that the laser parameters can vary depending on what type of machine you are using and its available laser power. Also, we suggest using the green positioning line to position the graphic perfectly.
Laser Parameters | Colour | Process | Power (%) | Speed (%) | ppi/Hz |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Engraving | Black | Engraving CO2 | 16 | 20 | 500 |
Cutting | Red | Cut CO2 | 50 | 0.2 | 5,000 |
Creasing | Blue | Cut CO2 | 5 | 1 | 1,000 |
Positioning | Green | Positioning | - | - | - |

Step 7: Assembly
Now it's time to assemble your sign. Begin by sticking the striped pattern on top of the white base plate. Look out for the hole to align it perfectly. Next, ensure that the TroGlass plate is glued straight on the black ADA.
Now it's time for the TroGlass Colour Gloss plate. We suggest positioning the pieces with the letters at the bottom. Also, ensure that the area without any adhesive foil is positioned as straight as possible. Then, the back and green/orange letters can be easily pasted on.
Repeat these steps on the back of the shield as well. Then, the triangles can finally be inserted into the holes provided. A string is then feathered through these holes, and your beautiful, multi-layered sign is complete!
