Preparation
Required material
- 3mm MDF, available here
- Additional material to cover the rest of the work surface (e.g. spare paper)
Machine used
- Speedy 360 laser engraver, 100 Watt
- 2" lens
- Honeycomb Table
Tips
- After you've placed the material into the laser machine, cover the remaining work area with pieces of paper. This will ensure maximum vacuum suction.
- We suggest using a 2" lens that will be able to make a nice, clean, quick cut.
Step by step
Step 1: Make design layout
Download the comb template. There are three different designs to choose from, and you can create the size you like based on the beard size! Place the wood on the work surface and cover the rest of the surface with other material (e.g. paper) to ensure maximum suction.
Print Settings:

Step 2: Engraving process
Place the Dark Blue LaserPaper into your Trotec laser engraving machine and focus on its surface. Create the parameter settings. Please note that the parameters can vary depending on the laser machine you are using and its available laser power.

Step 3: Post-processing
After completing the laser cutting and engraving steps, very carefully remove the comb from the rest of the wood, ensuring you don't snap the thin, delicate pieces. Clean the comb with a damp cloth, and your trendy beard comb is ready for use!
