Which laser for automotive and vehicle technology?
These powerful integration lasers (200 watt system) offer the perfect turnkey solution for the automotive industry and its suppliers. Co-developed, tested and used by well-known automotive manufacturers, they meet all the requirements of Industry 4.0. For fast inline VIN and PIN marking of painted and unpainted metals and materials.

Advantages of VIN Marker:
- Industrial laser engraver for 24/7 operation
- Robust and compact laser, easy integration
- Flexible material selection thanks to non-contact laser technology
- Safe working environment thanks to Safetycone Module (laser class 1)

Laser engraving of chassis and frames.
Serial production – especially in the field of electric mobility – is using increasingly lighter materials such as micro-alloyed steels or press-hardened steel (PHS steel) to reduce the weight of vehicles. At the same time, however, these increasingly harder metals are pushing the previously used technology of scribing or needle embossing to its limits.
In addition, many automotive manufacturers require more and more flexibility in their production lines in order to quickly respond to market and consumer needs. Thus, in the future, often not a single model series will be manufactured on a production line. With VIN Marker laser engraving, you ensure a deep, legible and permanent engraving of the VIN number and insurance number, while remaining flexible in the use of your production line.

Drive units: traceability with laser marking.
The parts for engines and drive units usually come from different suppliers and are made of different materials such as cast iron, aluminum, magnesium, composite materials, etc. For producers, it is essential to be able to track all product parts completely and without errors. Only then is it possible to carry out a thorough cause analysis and improvement in the event of defects that may occur at a later date.
Direct part marking (DPM) with a laser allows manufacturers to completely and accurately track all product parts. Unlike labels or direct printing, for example, laser engraving is permanently legible and cannot be removed! Compact, fast and safe for industrial assembly processes, the InMarker integration lasers enable this as part of series production. For individual workstations, small to medium series or sample production, the Speedmarker workstations or our customized laser solutions offer the optimal solution for you.

Marking solutions for chassis components.
Products such as tires, rims, exhaust pipes, steering columns , catalytic converters or brakes must also be marked with DOT, ET, PIN numbers, data matrix codes (2D-DMC), certification marks (E, ECE, EC,...) and similar, depending on the make. The materials used for these items range from rubber to various metals and plastics to ceramics and composites, which have different structures and surfaces.
Trotec laser systems can process all these materials directly. Of course, our lasers offer automation-friendly interfaces for connecting external data from external systems. This is how laser marking enables you to achieve completely flexible and therefore efficient and user-friendly operation in your production.

Laser marking for electronic components.
Due to the contactless technology, the laser has almost no geometric limitations and can thus mark even the smallest electronic components or printed circuit boards (PCB). But batteries, rechargeable batteries, control units and more can also be marked (without the consumables that are required with other technologies) in a high-contrast and permanent way. Since plastics are often processed in this area, material removal (engraving) is not usually carried out, but a color change / foaming (marking) is created. The effect achieved depends essentially on the wavelength of the laser, the pulse duration and the power density of the laser beam at the focus. We will be happy to help you select the right laser source.

Laser technology for interior design.
In interior design, laser technology offers unbeatable advantages for mechanical processing: for example, it is not necessary to fix materials such as textiles in place, clean cuts without rework, very high repetition accuracy and much more. Spacer fabrics are cut without crushing, glass fiber and heat protection textiles are cut or cut edges are automatically welded in synthetic materials. The most diverse cutting patterns, millings or perforations are child's play for the Trotec laser cutters. This makes it possible to use them for numerous product areas, from upholstery to airbags or seat belts.
But surface structures, e.g. for the dashboard, steering wheel, interior trim, day & night design, switches and more, can also be engraved on different materials. In addition to the purely functional areas of application, laser technology also offers the advantage of individual enhancement (according to customer requirements) through personalization.

Laser systems for the workshop.
In the maintenance departments of manufacturers or in workshops, there are numerous areas of application for increasing efficiency in occupational safety, fire protection, theft protection and more. These include, for example, the marking of tools, the cutting of inserts (e.g. foam) for tools, but also the cutting and engraving of warning and information signs or type plates for vehicles and buildings. Trotec's Speedy series is perfect for these diverse and varied tasks involving small quantities or single items. Optionally equipped with different laser sources and intuitive laser software, it offers the user fast, easy and flexible use without time delays caused by external suppliers.

Customization of vehicles with laser technology.
When it comes to vehicle tuning, the customization of cars, trucks, motorcycles and the like is the top priority. Laser technology is ideal for producing or processing the “products” for visual tuning, such as in the areas of bodywork, interiors and car wrapping (films), because it is precisely here that great importance is attached to customization / personalization. The custom bike sector probably accounts for the largest share of this customization. Trotec lasers also score highly in this scene with their flexibility, reliability and speed, as well as their user-friendly operation. The many . The custom bike sector probably accounts for the largest share of this customization.
Trotec lasers also score points in this scene with their flexibility, reliability and speed, as well as their user-friendly operation. The many options available in the Speedy series allow you to put together a machine that meets your personal requirements.
