Step by step

Step 1

Step 1: Design

Import our template or create your own design. Adapt the design so to the shape of the watch. Measure the height difference between the materials. This figure is required for the z-offset (for the watch we used there is no height difference between metal and leather). Why this step is so important and other helpful hints about how to use flexx technology is explained here.

Send the job to the laser using the following printer driver settings:

Tip:

It is easier to position/adjust the design, if you send the graphic elements for housing and wristband separately. By doing this you can position the graphics precisely with the help of the laser pointer.

Step 2

Step 2: Laser process

Make the parameter settings. The parameters can differ depending on the laser machine used and laser power available.

Important: When engraving a flexx job, always focus on the metal resp. on the material that shall be processed with the fiber laser.

Step 3

Step 3: Post-processing

No post-processing is necessary. Due to the annealing process, the metal surface is not damaged which makes the watch comfortable to wear.
