Product series
This great sample can be made with any machine from our Flexx flexx series.
Step by step
Step 1: Design
Download our design template or create your own. Change the design to your need and to the shape and size of the watch. Measure the material height difference between the leather and metal as it is necessary for the z-offset. You can find more information as to why this step is so important when using a Flexx laser here.
Send the job to the laser using the following printer driver settings:
Process mode | Resolution | Cut line | Halftone | Others |
---|---|---|---|---|
Standard | 1000 dpi | none | Color | - |
Tip:
It is much more simple to place the design if you send the graphic elements for the housing and the wristband one at a time. Doing so will allow you to position the graphics precisely with the help of the laser pointer.
Step 2: Laser process
Change the parameters to the correct ones. These can alter depending on the laser machine and the laser power.
Make the parameter settings. The parameters can differ depending on the laser machine used and laser power available.
When engraving a flexx job, it is important to always focus on the metal piece that will be processed with the fiber laser.
Laser Parameters Annealing:
Color | Process | Power (%) | Speed (%) | ppi/Hz |
---|---|---|---|---|
Black | Engraving FLP | 85 | 3 | 30000 |
Passes | Air Assist | Z-Offset | Advanced |
---|---|---|---|
1 | on | +2 mm | - |
Laser Parameters Engraving:
Color | Process | Power (%) | Speed (%) | ppi/Hz |
---|---|---|---|---|
Red | Engraving CO2 | 15 | 15 | 1000 |
Passes | Air Assist | Z-Offset | Advanced |
---|---|---|---|
1 | on | - | - |
Step 3: Post-processing
No post treatment is necessary as the metal is not damaged when annealing it.
