Product series
We used one of our flexx laser engraver series machines for creating this beautiful sample
Step by step
Step 1: Import Design
Create your design or feel free to import our available file template. We scanned the shape of the watch to our laptop to adapt our design. Assess the height difference inbetween the materials. This figure is needed for the z-offset (for this sample we used, there is no height difference between metal and leather). We explain the significance of this step and teach you a few more tricks. Flexx technology is explained here.
Now send the job to the laser using the following driver settings:
Process mode | Resolution | Cut line | Halftone | Others |
---|---|---|---|---|
Standard | 1000 dpi | none | Color | - |
Suggestion:
For perfect results everytime, just position or adjust the design by sending the graphic elements for the housing and wristband separately. Using the assistance of the laser pointer, you can position the graphics accurately always.
Step 2: Marking the wrist watch
Enter the material parameter settings - note that these settings can vary depending on the laser machine you are using and its available power.
Always Remember: When engraving using flexx, always focus on the metal resp. on the material that will be processed with the fiber laser.
Laser Parameters Annealing:
Colour | Process | Power (%) | Speed (%) | ppi/Hz |
---|---|---|---|---|
Black | Engraving FLP | 85 | 3 | 30000 |
Passes | Air Assist | Z-Offset | Advanced |
---|---|---|---|
1 | on | +2 mm | - |
Laser Parameters Engraving:
Colour | Process | Power (%) | Speed (%) | ppi/Hz |
---|---|---|---|---|
Red | Engraving CO2 | 15 | 15 | 1000 |
Passes | Air Assist | Z-Offset | Advanced |
---|---|---|---|
1 | on | - | - |
Step 3: Post-processing and assembly
The best part when engraving your wrist watch is that it does not need to be cleaned after engraving! Thanks to the annealing process, the metal surface remains unchangedand the watch is ready to be worn by it's owner just immediately!
