Laser-Cut Wooden
Easter Eggcup
We have designed a charming Easter decoration for you: An eggcup made from wood in the shape of an Easter Bunny. The cart is used for holding the egg. We used alder wood for making the eggcup. But it will also work with conventional plywood; ideally use poplar plywood for laser cutting.
Preparation
You Will Need
- 3mm alder wood / poplar plywood
- 1x Easter egg
Machine Used
- Speedy 300
- 60 watts
- 1.5 inch lens
Tips
We suggest using a cutting table. This will prevent beam reflections on the back of your material.
Step by step
Step 1:
Open the Easter Bunny file and send it to your laser machine. Begin the engraving and cutting process using the power and speed parameters indicated below. Please note that the parameters for this project may vary depending on the machine you are using and its available laser power.
Laser Settings:
- Black (engraving) - Power: 25% | Speed: 10% | Resolution: 500dpi | Air Assist: ON
- Red (cutting) - Power: 60% | Speed: 1% | Frequency: 1000Hz | Air Assist: ON | Correction: 10
Step 2:
Once you have finished cutting all the parts that you will need, it's time to assemble them. If you wish, you can also paint them to give them a little extra creativity!
