This playful wooden tea light holder is the perfect gift for someone you love. Here, you will find instructions and a free template download for your laser machine, so you can create your own variation of this lovable gift. Additionally, feel free to engrave a message, date or image onto the tea light holder as well, just to add that ever-so-important personal touch!
For this application, we decided to use alder wood. If you choose to use a different kind of wood, you will probably need to adapt the laser parameters slightly. Always do a test piece first!
Preparation
You Will Need
- 3mm alder wood
- 1x tea light
Machine Used
- Speedy 300
- 60 watts
- 1.5" lens
Tips
- We recommend using the 1.5" lens
- Use a light, hard wood type to achieve a nice contrast on the cutting edges

Step 1:
Open the template (found below) and send it to your laser machine. Then, use the following laser parameters for the cutting and engraving. Please note that the parameters may vary depending on the laser machine you are using and its available power.
LASER SETTINGS:
Engraving (Black) - Power: 90% | Speed: 50% | Resolution: 500dpi | Exhaust System: ON
Cutting (Red) - Power: 95% | Speed: 1% | Frequency: 1000Hz | Exhaust System: ON | Correction: 10

Once you have finished cutting and engraving each of the parts, begin assembling them!
