Tea Light Holder
This playful wooden tea light holder is your ideal gift for Valentine's Day.
Here you can find instructions and template files for laser cutting. If you wish, you can additionally engrave a personal message or a date on the tea light holder. We have used alder wood for this application. If you use a different wood type, you might have to adapt the laser parameters slightly.
Preparation
Required material
- Alder Wood, 1/8"
- 1 Tea Light

- Speedy 300
- 60 watts
- 1.5 inch lens
Tips
- Use the 1.5 inch lens
- Use a light and hard wood type to achieve a marked contrast of the cutting edges
Step by step
Step 1:
Open the cutting template and send it to the laser. Use the laser parameters indicated below for cutting and engraving. The parameters might vary depending on the laser machine used and its power category.
LASER SETTINGS
Engraving (black) - power: 90 %, speed: 50 %, resolution: 500 dpi, exhaust system: on
Cutting (red) - power: 95 %, speed: 1 %, frequency: 1000 Hz, exhaust system: on, correction: 10
Step 2:
Once you have cut and engraved the parts you can assemble them.
