Efficient from the design to the finished workpiece: Seamless integration into your data workflow

Seamlessly integrating a Trotec laser cutting or engraving machine into your RIP or CAD workflow couldn’t be any easier. The fully automated PDF and DXF interface on Trotec UniDrive makes it easy to send data to the machine from the prepress, and work can be prepared within monitored files called ‘hot folders’. The time management required to prepare and parametrise the cutting data is, therefore, no longer required.

Monitored Folders

The ‘hot folders’ are provided with accessible and relevant information, including the laser parameters, the job position and the grid resolution. Once these files are exported from the RIP and stored in the appropriate ‘hot folder’, they will appear next in the JobControl® laser software job queue, and released for processing when the operator is ready. When cutting in the Print&Cut applications, the camera supported JobControl® Vision system ensures a perfect and optimal workflow.

Calculated Planning

BONUS: When production planning, the processing times can be calculated seamlessly in advance. This pre-calculation of the cutting/engraving time allows ideal production planning, maximising the utilisation of your laser cutter and can be used for acute quotations.

Your machine is guaranteed to be compatible with RIP systems, graphics and CAD programs. This means that your data workflow will perform perfectly every time, without the need for operators to interact during a job.
