Preparation
Material needed
- Trotec veneered wood
You can also use a range of other Trotec materials, including solid wood sheets.
Laser Cutting Machine
- Speedy 400 - 120W
- 2" lens
- Aluminium cutting grid table
All Speedy laser machines can be used to create this application.
Step by step
Step 1: Importing the design file and adjusting settings
Begin by importing the design file into your preferred graphic software, then send the job to the laser using the following settings:

Step 2: Laser cutting
Once the graphics section has been completed, load your material into the laser machine. Focus and you can begin laser cutting.

Please note: These settings are for a 120W laser machine as used in this example. Your parameters may need adjusting depending on your laser power. How to find the best parameters for your laser.
Step 3: Assembling your puzzle
First, remove all laser cut components from your laser machine. Continue by adhering the puzzle base to the top layer without the puzzle pieces using your preferred type of wood glue and a clamp. Once dried, it's time to play!
