See how you can produce an individual jewellery display using different acrylic sheets.
Create a unique jewellery display using different TroGlass acrylic sheets. TroGlass is available to purchase from our engraving supplies webshop.
Preparation
Materials required
- 1/4 sheet TroGlass Clear 8 mm
- 1/4 sheet TroGlass Clear 5 mm
- 1/4 sheet TroGlass Satins Orange translucent with double-sided adhesive foil on both sides
All of these materials are available from our engraving supplies webshop.
Laser machine used
- Speedy 400, 120 Watt with a 2.5" lens
- Acrylic lamella or vacuum table with acrylic grid or distance holders
Any Speedy family or SP series laser machine can be used to create this display. To achieve a high-quality result and efficiently cut 8mm acrylic you need a laser power of 80W or more.
Important information
- Remove the protective foil from the top of both the 5mm and 8mm acrylic prior to laser cutting and engraving
- Cover the rest of the working area with a suitable material (such as paper) to improve extraction
Step by step
Step 1: TroGlass Clear 8 mm
Start by importing your design or our template into your graphic program and send the job to the laser using the below parameters.

Step 2: Laser cutting and engraving: TroGlass Clear 8 mm
Select the parameters for the job. These can vary depending on your laser machine and available laser power.
Tips:
For a better result laser cut the acrylic before laser engraving.

Step 7: Post-processing and assembly
When assembling your display begin by gluing the coloured TroGlass Satin components to the 5mm clear acrylic, ensuring that the pieces are positioned exactly above each other.
The next step is to position the engraved 8 mm acrylic. To protect your laser engraved design position the engraved side onto the coloured acrylic.
Inspirations
For an even more individual presentation of your jewellery, use displays in other shapes, material thicknesses and material combinations. If you are using only few thin acrylic sheets, cut a base to let the display stand stable.
