Halloween lantern | DIY Trotec Laser

Here, we will show you how to construct a spooky Halloween lantern! For this project, we used the TroGlass Colour Gloss in orange and black. You can find the graphic file along with the JobControl® laser parameters at the end of this page.

Preparation

You Will Need

1/4 sheet of TroGlass Colour Gloss (Black & Orange)
Acrylic glue

Machine Used

Speedy 400 80W
2" lens
Vacuum table with acrylic cutting grid

Tips

Try using the 2" lens - you should achieve the best results this way.
Be sure to remove the protective foil from the back of the acrylic after processing. This will prevent the material from being scratched or damaged.

Step by step

Step 1

Step 1: Preparation

Import the graphic that we have provided or create your own. Remove the protective foil from the front of the acrylic and place the material into the laser machine. Send the job to the laser using the following settings:

Print Settings:

Define the necessary parameters. Please note that these might vary depending on the laser machine you are using and its power.

Step 3

Step 3: Assembly

Now, remove the protective foil from the back of the acrylic. Clean the pieces with a damp cloth and a very mild soap. Put the five pieces together, using glue to stick them in place. Your Halloween lantern is now ready to spook your guests!
