AVK Plastics is a part of the internationally recognised AVK Group. This Danish, multinational company has subsidiaries in over 80 countries, and is the global expert in high-quality plastics. AVK Plastics specialises in producing plastic street pots and accessories for the access and operation of underground appendages.

Copious amounts of plastic is produced daily at AVK Plastics, creating pallets, street pots and accessories. This is all done with an automatic moulding process. The pallets are produced in an efficient, sustainable way, consisting of recycled HDPE. Many of these are EOS (European OneWay System) pallets, which are mainly used for exportation. The company uses 5 different Trotec laser machines to mark their pallets with a client specific logo and all the required contact details.

The Challenge

"We have decided to use laser machines, mostly because it's a onetime investment. We used to use stickers, but material costs were high and there was a greater risk of damage. Now, we use the lasers for marking our pallets, and we plan to begin marking our other products with Trotec's laser machines as well" - Peter de Greef - Project Leader, AVK Plastics
