Learn how you can make an individual trophy sticker with a Speedy flexx and TroLase foil.

Preparation

What you will need

Quarter sheet TroLase foil silver brushed (or any other color of your choice)
Material to cover the engraving table

Trotec Machine used

Speedy 360 flexx, 80/30 Watt
2.85" lens
Vacuum table and honeycomb cutting table

You can create this example with any machine from the Speedy family

Note

Due to the intricate nature of this example, we made use of a fiber laser machine - Read more on Fibre Lasers HERE.

The smaller spot size of the fiber laser guarantees you a much better output. Important to note; this will work only on Trotec metallic TroLase foils (silver matt, silver brushed, gold, copper).

For all other foil materials, a CO2 laser engraver will process.

Step by step

Step 1

Step 1: Import design

Begin by creating your individual design or simply import this free template. You may adapt it to the size of your trophy if required. Now send this job to your laser engraver using these settings:

Info: Using the fiber laser, we recommend always using a 1000 dpi resolution. It works particularly well in combination with the small spot size of the fiber laser.

Step 2

Step 2: Laser process label

Insert the TroLase foil material inside your laser machine and focus. Follow this by creating your parameter settings. These settings may differ depending on your laser machine and laser power used.

Info:

A Trotec fiber laser machine will always have an added advantage when coming to the smaller spot size. Therefore less heat is applied on the material. The foil material will remain flat and not bend.

Step 3

Step 3: Cleaning

Take care of the label by cleaning it using a damp cloth. For best results, use inside the engraving cabinet with activated exhaust.
