Learn how you can make an individual trophy sticker with a Speedy flexx and TroLase foil.
Follow our tutorial to create a trophy label using our Speedy laser engraving machine and TroLase Foil. More information about laser processing foils can be found here.
Preparation
Materials required
- 1/4 sheet TroLase Foil - silver brushed (you can use any colour)
- Paper to cover the laser engraving table
Laser engraving machine used
- Speedy 360 flexx, 80/30 Watt
- 2.85" lens
- Vacuum table and honeycomb cutting table
Any Speedy laser engraving machine can be used to create this sample (fiber laser not required)
Tips
Due to the intricacy of the design we used a fiber laser to engrave. Thanks to the smaller spot size of the fiber laser better results are achieved. This however will only work on metallic TroLase foils (silver matt, silver brushed, gold, copper).
Using a CO2 laser all TroLase foils can be processed.
Step by step
Step 1: Import design
Begin by creating your own design or importing our pre-made template. You can adapt the template as required for your application. Once you are happy with the design send the job to the laser using the driver settings below:

Info: When laser engraving with the fiber laser source, always use 1000 dpi resolution, as it works best in combination with the small spot size of the fiber laser.
Step 2: Laser engraving the label
Place the TroLase foil onto your laser machine's bed and focus on the material. Once complete create the parameter settings. These settings will vary depending on your laser machine and the laser power available.

The fiber laser has the advantage of a smaller spot size, meaning less heat is applied to the material. This way the foil remains flat and does not bend.
Step 3: Cleaning
Once completed clean the material with a damp cloth. This works best inside the laser engraving cabinet with activated exhaust.
