Engrave anodized aluminum data plates using SpeedMark
Two steps to a finished data plate with serial number
In this example, the data plate consists of two elements: the graphic file with the fixed content and the extension with the serial number. First, import the graphic file.
Step 1: Upload the graphic file (bmp file) by clicking the "bmp" icon. (Note: you can also use all other common graphic files). Now you can find the desired graphic in the graphic field.
Step 2: After the import, the data plate layout is displayed in the middle of the graphic field. Depending on requirements, you can freely move this within the marking area (for example to mark multiple data plates at once).
Adding the serial number
Each machine has its own data plate with its own unique serial number. The SpeedMark marking software does this automatically for you.
Step 1: Add a text field in the flowchart (see picture) and select "Serial number" for source.
Step 2: A selection field will appear, where you can specify how the serial number should look. Create your combination of text and the number of digits.
Thereby, you have created the data plates.
Step 3: Finally, select the laser parameters in the parameter database (for details, see Tips & Tricks "SpeedMark Laser Parameters"), insert the material and engrave the data plates. Detailed instructions can be found in the tutorial.
