Snack bowl made from TroCraft Eco
In this tutorial we’ll show you how to make a foldable snack bowl using TroCraft Eco, our sustainable and ecological laser material.
Preparation
Required material
- 1 sheet of TroCraft Eco 1.0mm
- Cover material
Machine used
- Speedy 360, 100 watts
- 2" lens
- Vacuum table with honeycomb cutting table
Step by step
Step 1
Step 1: Design
Import your own graphics and edit the design as needed. Send the snack bowl graphics to your Trotec laser machine with the following criteria:
Process mode | Resolution | Cut line |
---|---|---|
Standard Job | 500dpi | none |
Halftone | Others |
---|---|
color | Optimized geometries, internal geometries first |
Step 2
Step 2: Laser processing TroCraft Eco
Place the TroCraft Eco, made of pure cellulose fiber, on the honeycomb cutting table inside your laser. Cover the remaining surface of the work area to create a stronger vacuum. Parameters may vary by laser machine model and beam strength.
Step 3
Step 3: Bending
Carefully bend the four scratched fold lines. Continue and repeat this process until the edges fold easily. Next, bend the four middle cut lines in the opposite direction. Once the bowl shape begins to form, insert the fork into the two recesses. The bowl should now hold its shape on its own.
