be-all and end-all.

My profession:
Quality Assurance / Quality Management Employed with Trotec since:
1 September 2010;
initially in Production (Adjustment/Finishing) until February 2016, then in Quality Assurance since March 2016. My personal work motto: 
Problems are there to be solved. Quality is the be-all and end-all.

This is how I would describe my job to a friend:

I have a very diverse, interesting and also challenging job. We are essentially an interface to various departments (production, R&D, purchasing, etc.). In addition to my colleagues, I'm also the person to contact when there are problems with our suppliers' goods, or when issues come up in production. We do quality controls: firstly on the goods coming in, so that they are free of any defects (they can only be used in our laser machines if they are free of defects), and secondly performing the final inspection on the finished laser systems.

I spend most of my work day...

...doing quality controls on the components manufactured, and sometimes also doing first inspections (for example, when we are using new suppliers). And then of course there's the final inspection of the finished Trotec laser machines. The aim of the whole quality control process is to prevent errors from the outset, and if any do occur, to deal with them in the best possible manner.

The coolest thing about my job is...

...the opportunity to introduce my own ideas as well as improve products and processes on a long-term basis. I can also prioritize my work independently. And last but not least, great cooperation in a great team.

The thing I appreciate most about Trotec is:

...the excellent working atmosphere and friendly interaction. I'm definitely thrilled by the great products we make. I am 100% behind our laser machines!

Something personal about myself:

I enjoy playing music and play two instruments: the accordion and the guitar. In my spare time, I also enjoy riding my motorbike and commute between my home in Linz and my girlfriend's place in Kronsdorf.
