Speedy 360 flexx

The path to laser technology.

Starlim recognized the potential of laser technology early on. Existing lasers in the company were tested, and it quickly became clear that this technology was suitable for their applications. Contact with Trotec Laser opened up new possibilities and ideas.

Use of the Trotec Speedy 360 flexx.

The Trotec Speedy 360 flexx is used at Starlim for initial development tests of various technologies. One example is the Starlim “Musterplatte 3.0”, where a laser-sensitive color was integrated into the silicone to laser mark serial numbers on parts for product traceability. Tests with the laser marker help show customers initial prototypes and find settings for later mass production.

Versatility and flexibility.

The Flexx technology of the Trotec laser offers a significant advantage. Unlike previous devices, it allows the processing of different materials, from plastic to steel. This facilitates the marking and labeling of production parts, especially where conventional CNC machines reach their limits.

We also mark and label many production parts, and the laser makes it easy for us when it is not possible to engrave with a normal CNC machine. With the Speedy, this is almost always possible.

Optimal coordination of software and machine.

With the Ruby software, Starlim has a comprehensive solution that simplifies operation and training for employees. Ruby enables smooth daily work with the laser and offers a simple and fast workflow from idea to finished product.

The future of laser technology at Starlim.

Laser technology is playing an increasingly important role at Starlim, especially in surface treatment. From tool inserts to steel surfaces to marking parts – the technology is used consistently and is considered forward-looking.

Laser technology is extremely important to us. (…) for us, it is the future.
