Laser marking of type plates in the serial production process
Martin has been synonymous with innovative products in the construction equipment industry since 1961. With high quality standards, production has also been equipped with a Trotec laser solution. 120 employees produce around 20,000 excavator attachments per year at the Ludesch site in Austria.

Multiple use type plate
Between 50,000 and 70,000 type plates are required each year for equipment and components. These plates offer the benefits of traceability and product identification, but also provide visual confirmation of product quality from the company's point of view.
Production requirements
In addition to fast production, there were two main requirements: Firstly, it had to be possible to connect the laser marker to the ERP system so that the data for each type plate could be directly transferred and documented after completion. Secondly, the laser marker had to be easy to use and not require a lot of training for anyone in the assembly department.

The laser solution
A SpeedMarker 700, equipped with a type plate module and scripting (automation programming) for the production process, now makes it easy to scan work orders, eliminating manual input errors. At the same time, the closed system offers maximum safety.
We set out our requirements and wishes to Trotec and they were able to implement them perfectly for us! With the Trotec solution we can prevent incorrect entries and have absolute process reliability and traceability
Martin works in multiple shifts, so fast technical support is very important to the company. Mr Ladinig is also enthusiastic about Trotec in this respect: "Because they help us quickly, whether they come to the company or solve the problem over the phone, it has always worked really well so far".
