Tips
Create a personalised product by experimenting with different designs.
Step by step
Step 1: Design
Begin by importing the design file. You can create your own or use our ready made one. Our file is suitable for a 14" laptop, but you can easily adapt it to any other size.
The design consists of two parts: The outer part with pattern; and the inner part with outside contour and marking for the seam.
Send the job to the laser using the below printer driver settings:
Print Settings:
Standard | 500 dpi | none |
Process mode | Resolution | Cut line |
---|
Colour | Optimised geometries, inner geometries first |
Halftone | Others |
---|
Step 2: Laser engraving and laser cutting process
Please test the material before you start laser engraving the bag.
Position the fabric into the laser with the inside down and start with the first graphic. You can personalise the bag prior to this stage. Once you have cut out the laptop cover, turn the material and use the laser to mark the seam line (if required)
Adjust the parameter settings, which will differ depending on your laser machine and the available laser power. Please note: the parameters for black are only necessary for laser engraving the material.
Optional Laser Parameters (laser engraving):
Colour | Process | Power (%) | Speed (%) | ppi/Hz |
---|---|---|---|---|
Black | Engrave CO2 | 80 | 30 | 500 |
Passes | Air Assist | Z-Offset | Advanced |

Laser Cutting Parameters:
Colour | Process | Power (%) | Speed (%) | ppi/Hz |
---|---|---|---|---|
Red | Cut CO2 | 10 | 1.5 | 1000 |
Blue | Cut CO2 | 7 | 2 | 1000 |
Colour | Passes | Air Assist | Z-Offset | Advanced |
---|---|---|---|---|
Red | 1 | on | - | - |
Blue | 1 | on | +3mm | - |
Step 3: Post-processing and finishing
Insert the eyelet before you close the lateral seam. Please ensure you follow the instructions provided with the eyelets.
Close the seam on the left and the right side of the cover. The scratching lines help you to use the correct position for the seam.
Now insert the rubber band, tie it together and your laptop bag is ready for use.
