Step by step
Step 1: Preparing the cutting file
Download the template file for the phone case. Open it in your preferred graphics software and edit the initials to those of the person the phone pocket is for.
Step 2: Laser cutting the leather
Send the graphic file to the laser software with the parameters recommended below. Please note that the parameters may vary depending on the machine used and the laser power available.
Laser Settings
Engraving parameters (black graphic)
Power: 40 %, Speed: 80 %, Resolution: 500 ppi, air assist ON
Cutting parameters (red lines)
Power: 40 %, Speed: 4 %, Frequency: 1000 Hz, air assist ON
Step 3: Assembling the parts
To finalize your engraved phone case you need to fold the two leather pieces and stitch them together along the dotted line which has been perforated by the laser. Do the same for the key chain.
Tips:
- Use a 1.5 inch lens for intricate engraving details
- High laser power guarantees perfectly sealed edges
